Beautiful Views From Kawela Plantation
A 5,500 acre development with 210 - 2 acre lots.
Each lot backs to a common area which includes hiking trails
and a beach park.
Virtually every lot in the project has a spectacular ocean
view.
The entire project was sold several years ago. Many of the
owners have built homes on their lots. All lots are FS.

The Kawela Plantation consists of 210 home sites. Each site has at least
two acres. The parcels are fee simple (which means you own the land
as opposed to leasing it). The project contains a total of 5,500 acres.
In addition to the individually owned house sites there is a preserve
of open space with a wide range of terrain from the ocean front park,
open grassland to the pine and eucalyptus forest of the higher elevations.
The development spans the southern slopes of the East Molokai mountains.
Homesites are located on gradually sloping topography affording panoramic
ocean views sweeping across the Pailolo and Kalohi Channels to the
island of Maui, Kahoolawe and Lanai. Ancient fishponds, palm-lined
beaches and forested hillsides complete this dramatic and pristine
landscape. This relaxed, unhurried atmosphere of Kawela Plantation
is located 13 miles southeast from the Molokai airport and just 5
miles from Kaunakakai.
All owners are member of the Kawela Plantation Homeowners Association.
The Association maintains the common area landscaping and private
water system. The Maintenance fee is $555.38 per quarter, which includes
a Capital Assessment of $200 per quarter.
The parcels are zoned agriculture. Homes may not be more than two
stories. Mobile homes, animal trailers, or house trailers are not
allowed on the property. The lots may not be subdivided. There is
a Design Review Committee for approval of plans and specifications
for improvements to the parcels. The Design Review Committee is appointed
annually by the Home Owners Association's elected Board of Directors.
Kawela Plantation affords the luxury of privacy with the benefits of
planned development.
